GOOD AMIGA with LOTTE BARNES

GOOD AMIGA with LOTTE BARNES

Say gday to more people, and ask them how their day is going. Thats my thought for today. Why you ask? Because there's a chance they may end up becoming one of your best friends.

Ten years ago I was surfing at my local beachie when Lotte Barnes paddled over and said gday to me. We chatted, laughed and instantly became amigo's. These days we always hang out surfing, adventuring, drinking tea and just chatting about the world, and how we can creatively make a difference. I think anyone who has ever crossed paths with Lotte would agree that she is a one in a million and we're extremely lucky to have her in our life. If you see this legend make sure to say howdy, best thing you'll ever do...

GOOD AMIGO with LINCOLN CAPLICE

GOOD AMIGO with LINCOLN CAPLICE

Lincoln Caplice is one cool dude. From the clothes he wears through to the films he creates Linc is known for a clean, stylish aesthetic that is pretty flawless. On top of that, you could argue he's never had a bad job and never looked unattractive, but thats why interviews where created right? To ask the hard hitting questions, and receive hard hitting answers about washing dishes and wearing high heels. Above all Lincoln is a humble, driven individual who is going to go far in life, and we're psyched to be a part of that. I sat down with this legend for a cuppa and chat only 48 hours after arriving back from the US of A. Enjoy.

GOOD AMIGA with ISHITA MALAVIYA

GOOD AMIGA with ISHITA MALAVIYA

Years ago while roaming the west coast of India I met a couple by the name of Tushar and Ishita. They lived in a small coastal town, ran a small surf club, and surfed mostly small waves. But what stood out to me was their genuine stoke for wave riding. They displayed the frothyness of a grommet along with the heart of Ghandi, showing me the best few days in Manipal, Karnataka. It's for this reason I introduce you to the latest 'Our Amiga' - Ishita Malaviya.

GOOD AMIGO with DANNY ‘LAUGHS’ JOHNSON

GOOD AMIGO with DANNY ‘LAUGHS’ JOHNSON

Danny Johnson is a wise dude. He’d be the first to deny it, but that’s because he’s also extremely humble. His time is spent roaming the globe and meeting interesting characters who I’m sure walk away from their Danny time with a smile on their dial. While juggling his role as editor at Waves Magazine he also managed to bring our Goodcheer website to life with his wonderful designs, and for this we are ever so thankful. I sat down with Danny last Friday night for my first face-to-face interview. Enjoy.

GOOD AMIGO JONNO DURRANT

GOOD AMIGO JONNO DURRANT

Remember when you were a grommet, and there was that older "cool dude" you looked up to? For me, Jonathan Durrant was that "dude". His care-free, goofy & wondrous character was everything I wanted to be, and not just me, but a bunch of other guys also admired Jonno. When I was 17 he invited me on a 7 month road trip around America to make some kooky film, and that's where I got to really know one of the most amazing humans to dance on this earth. Over the last 8 years we have collaborated on numerous projects, and the Goodcheer ethos of 'inspiring change through creativity' is a direct result of everything Jonno has taught me over those years. Read his interview and have a laugh…
