During the 40 hours I spent riding buses on my last trip to Mexico I rediscovered my love for sketching. From empty barrels to watermelon boats I doodled around until I cartooned my own version of Tapachula. This only fed my desire to go buy some cheap paint and slap it on a wall… so, I did.
Back in 2009 I found myself in a small Mexican town called Tapachula, volunteering at an orphanage called Mision Mexico. It felt like a good thing to do at the time, but little did I know the impact it would have on my life, and that this experience would one day result in the beginning of Goodcheer.
